The Great Way to Make Roller Blinds

1. Get either a measuring tape or a meter stick and measure the distance between the width and the length of the window. Once you’ve gotten the length, add twenty inches to the number and you have the measurement of the cloth that you will buy.
2. Get your wooden roller that will serve as your pole. Add an inch and saw through the wood.
3. Select the fabric you will use and start cutting while following the measurements.
4. Stiffen your newly cut cloth with a fabric stiffer.
5. Buy a roller shade kit via the net or a store.
6. Attach the brackets into the frame of the window, then measure the distance between the two newly installed brackets.
7. As for the roller, you will need to cut the end while taking into consideration the measured distance between the two brackets. After cutting, cover the end with the end cap that can be found in the kit. Next, insert the pin in place before attaching the roller into the brackets.
8. Now extend your fabric and fold it upwards. Glue the edges and the creased edge should be able to have the tube inserted in it.
9. Get the batten in the kit and cut it an inch shorter than your roller shade. After doing so, slide it into the casing and apply glue to the ends.
10. Get a pencil and mark the casing’s center.
11. Put the cord into the acorn’s middle part and tie a knot at the end. You will then attach the cord holder to the casing’s center.
12. Get the folded fabric and place the roller on its edge. The spring should be on the left side by now. Mark the center with either a tape. Place the pole along the part of the marked fabric.
13. Now you will need to do this very carefully as this the most crucial part in assembling the blinds. Begin to roll the roller very slowly, taking the fabric with it.
14. After doing so, it is now time to secure the pole to the brackets and end by pulling down the blinds.
