Then, what is fuser assembly? The fuser is utilizing the heat and pressure for fusing or melting the toner into the media or the paper. Since it uses pressure and heat, this assembly is exposed to the mechanical wear. Meanwhile, the heating element is exposed to the failure of the electricity. The plastic gears of your printer are able to degrade in the end and endless contact to the high temperature so that it can fail eventually.

However, the maintenance kit installation involves the replacement of the parts which are mentioned above. Also, you will need to clean up the toner and the paper dust.
