Digital Sales Optimization: boost sales with enhanced digital document delivery
A critical part of any sales process involves providing potential customers with information about what one is selling. In the past this would have occurred either face-to-face in meetings with printed brochures and leaflets being shared or via telephone with literature being put in the mail.
However sales professionals are increasingly conducting their business digitally, with relevant information, including proposals, case studies, video demos, white papers and contracts being emailed to and from customers and prospects. Customers and prospects can't be relied on to find this information on company websites and moreover they prefer the personal touch, so direct delivery of information is vital. As a result, email systems are being put under considerable strain coping with such large volumes of email attachments.
Email was never designed to be a method for sharing files, let alone to send large files. Most email servers have an attachment limit of between 10 and 25Mb, although it is often the case that businesses using an Exchange server have limits nearer the 2Mb mark. Even if you can send all of your files through your server you cannot guarantee that your recipient's server will be able to handle the files and your email may be bounced back as undeliverable, or worse still, simply lost in cyberspace. For a sales professional this is simply disastrous.
As there are often multiple documents needing to be sent, to get round such email limitations, sales people will often have to resort to sending multiple emails with individual files attached in each. However, if one file is larger than standard attachment size limits then they run the risk of the file not going through or not being received at the other end. To guarantee delivery, they often have to resort to timely and costly postal or courier services instead.
However, one company has come up with a much simpler, quicker and more affordable solution that has all the convenience of email, without the limitations. They allow you to send one email with all files attached (up to 5Gb) saving time and also projecting a more professional image than multiple emails. Furthermore, it is possible for senders to track who has downloaded which files and when, which is a valuable tool for salespeople when establishing quality prospects.
So what is this solution? Tonsho
Tonsho is a large file sending service that can be used either online or in Outlook (standalone or as part of Exchange integration). The sender writes an email as normal, attaches their files and hits send. Tonsho then removes the attached files, places them on their secure servers and the recipient(s) receive the original message with a link to download the files. On clicking the link, the recipient is taken to a download page which can be optionally password protected. This page can be branded up with your company logo and shows thumbnails for the files. Recipients have the option of downloading all files at once, or one by one. Files are stored on the site for 6 months meaning that customers can return and download again at a later date if necessary. You can fully track which files have been downloaded, by whom and when, meaning that follow up emails and telephone calls can be timely and optimised depending on which files have been downloaded and by whom.
Tonsho is suitable for all sales professionals, offering individual professional and business accounts or multiple user Enterprise accounts. It can be integrated into Exchange servers or can be used via their website.
In a time when sales processes are increasingly digital, it is pivotal that sales professionals have the best digital tools at their disposal if they are to beat the competition and boost sales. Using the award nominated Tonsho service to send large email attachments would be an easy step to take for any salesperson wishing to optimise their sales processes and performance.

Document Server $129.05 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles A document server is a repository for (scientific) articles. e.g. Based on the Open Archives Initiative (OAI) standard, academic institutions store articles of their researchers on a document server, where they are freely accessible for anyone. The Open Archives Initiative (OAI) is an attempt to build a lowbarrier interoperability framework for archives (institutional repositories) containing digital content (digital libraries). It allows people (Service Providers) to harvest metadata (from Data Providers). This metadata is used to provide valueadded services, often by combining different data sets. Initially, the initiative has been involved in the development of a technological framework and interoperability standards specifically for enhancing access to eprint archives, in order to increase the availability of scholarly communication; OAI is, therefore, closely related to the Open access publishing movement. However, the developed technology and standards are applicable in a much broader domain than scholarly publishing alone. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F. Document Security $37.95 This text identifies common pitfalls in document security and suggests remedies to prevent its occurrence. It strives to alert an audience of managers, security professionals, and workers who come in regular contact with sensitive information. Chapter 2 explores Web-facing documents and how search engines like Google can uncover sensitive data in those documents. Chapter 3 discusses how filtering business channels, such as e-mail, instant messaging and FTP transfers, is feasible with modem technology. Chapter 4 covers the theft of digital devices such as personal data assistants (PDAs), laptops, and cellular telephones. This chapter discusses the use of global tracking technologies and encryption to protect vital information from this growing problem. In Chapter 5, the special procedures that must be used when removing sensitive data from computers is discussed along with the methods for disposal and reuse procedures. In Chapter 6, the discussion turns to the protection of paper and physical documents and how this should form the core of any document security program. Chapter 7 examines the whole issue of “slack space” on a computer and what security can do to make users aware that computers are the ultimate recording machines. Chapter 8 describes anti-forensics and how using these techniques can help to minimize what forensic examination can uncover by preventing the inadvertent passing of sensitive data on a data storage device. Chapter 9 deals with the evaluation of online information and how to recognize bogus sites, disinformation to facilitation phishing, and other scams. Chapter 10 discusses document forgeries. Lastly, the destruction of confidential documents is examined. |
